old is the new NEW

what is more fun that treasure hunting on a scorching hot almost summer morning?!?!? well, my friend beth may disagree with the scorching hot part of it, but not me! sure, i would have preferred to have had sunscreen on, (as i am now walking around with raccoon eyes and overly tanned knees) but that hot hot sun is not something i will tire of quickly after the endless winters we endure! I digress (as usual).
No matter where you choose to do your treasure hunting; a thrift store, a garage sale, antiques mall or auctions, DO, DO SOME HUNTING!! If nothing else, as I am here to note, You would be being GREEN, considering the re-use of something old. Ohio is FULL of amazing antique stores, malls, fairs and the like. Go alone, go with a group of friends, go with your mom, husband or wife JUST GO!
It’s about supporting small businesses, re-using old items, finding treasures, creating memories, getting a little exercise, learning a little history and one of the most exciting parts to me is the wealth of CREATIVITY these events tend to inspire. Whenever I go, I just feel so inspired to decorate, create, or plan new projects!! YEA SUMMER!!!
